Ludwig von Koopa

This is one of three (perhaps more in the future) drawings of Bowser's Koopa Kids I've done for the Super Mario Bros. Monster Compendium. The other two are Roy Koopa and Morton Koopa Jr. (needless to say, I chose all the big guys). Ludwig von Koopa (or Kooky von Koopa, as he's called in the SMB super show) is perhaps the most powerful of all the kids, and is also the closest to Boweser himself. He has the widest variety of attacks, and even though you can't really tell in-game, he is the brains behind the Koopa Kids doings.

Ludwig has appeared in three Mario games (we ain't counting Mario is Missing here), and every time as a boss. His first role was the boss of the last stage in Super Mario Bros. 3 before Bowsers Kingdom, the Pipe Maze. He next appeared as the Boss of world 4 in Super Mario World, which I think was called Butter Bridges. In my opinion, his castle was the most unique (and the toughest). He also appears as a boss with the rest of the Koopa Kids in the last dungeon of Mario & Luigi, Bowser's Flying Fortress.

As a final note, I've taken to calling him Kabuki von Koopa. Can you folks guess why?
