Anitra Borgov

This is the next of the characters I drew for my next gen Intrepids series (look at Shantae Ondine's pic for more details on how that works), Anitra Borgov. Now unlike most of the other main characters, she isn't the son or daughter of any of the previous members of the Intrepids or the Inevitables. Rather she is decendant of one, namely Rosevear the witch of Daventry, several hundred years hence (I haven't decided how many). Most of the other characters have been kept alive, come back through time, or are just naturally long lived (such as elven characters).

Anitra also happens to be the product of many years of Rosevear's family being quite friendly with undead beings. Eventually, the Daventry witches and warlocks inermarried with a powerful family of vampires called the Borgovs, and so Anitra would just happen to be a vampire. The only problem with this is... her skin is a bit too dark for a true vampire. Maybe she's a dhampire (half vampire, like Alucard from Castlevania, Vampire Hunter D, and Blade)? I havent't really decided. In any case, she is still a necromancer like her Daventry forbearers, and as such she has command of many undead creatures. She keeps a few of her favorite ones by her side at all times, including Skelechaun, the Daventry family servent (who has coveniently lost his memory). Even though it's a different color, that scythe she weilds holds no special powers (that I've thought of). However, she is quite adept at using it, and sometimes favors melee combat over her necromancy.

Because of her power in the nightime world of eastern Europe, she has fallen in with the villain of this new series, and thus for the first part is a villain herself. Her master is Chernobog, god of darkness in the Slavic world, and also a nightshade hoping to gain the power of his father, Enalp Evitagen (arch nemisis of the Intrepids and the Inevitables). Once she realizes exactly who she is working for, and who her ancestor Rosevear really was, she joins the side of the Intrepids and adds her power to theirs.
